WHO WE ARE

Length: 45 min to 1 hour

This informative presentation provides audience members with a better understanding of Kids Hub CAC's history and purpose, while also providing an explanation of services provided to child abuse victim and their non-offending caregivers.

DARKNESS TO LIGHT

Length: 2.5 to 3 hours

The only nationally available program scientifically proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change protective behaviors, this training filled with survivor testimony will teach audience members how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse within their communities, businesses, and civic organizations by developing proper protocol.

BASIC CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION TRAINING

Length: 45 min to 1 hour

This training defines child abuse for audience members while also exploring the trauma that child abuse victims and their families often face and how that trauma affects them. Audience members will also be provided with information regarding mandated reporting in the state of Mississippi.

IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD: THE DANGERS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Length: 1 to 1.5 hours

Human trafficking is the second largest and fastest growing industry in the world. This training provides audience members with the harsh realities of labor and sex trafficking within the United States, specifically in the state of Mississippi.

PROBLEMATIC SEXUALIZED BEHAVIOR CASE STUDY

Length: 45 min to 1 hour

Audience members will explore a 2015 case worked by Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center and its multidisciplinary team partners involving a youth with problematic sexualized behavior. Details of the case will be discussed in a manner that allows audience members to understand issues facing children who have problematic sexualized behavior and children they come in contact with, while also discussing the problems within the criminal justice and mental health worlds when treating children with problematic sexualized behavior.

FORECAST provides participants with a hands-on learning experience by allowing participants to play the roles of law enforcement, CPS, child victim, abuser, non-offending caregiver, etc. with cases worked by child abuse professionals across the United States.
